Metal Roofing in Washington

Washington asks four different things of a roof depending on which side of the water — or the mountains — you live on. Around Puget Sound, a wet season that runs October to June feeds the moss that shortens the life of asphalt and cedar. On the Salish Sea and the Strait, salt air corrodes steel at every cut edge and scratch. In the Cascade foothills, wet snow loads a roof in a way the lowlands never see. East of the crest and along the wildland interface, fire is the question. Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum answers all four with one system — it cannot rust, moss has nothing to root into, wind uplift is documented to 177.5 psf, and a Class A fire-rated assembly is available. We have been installing it for Pacific Northwest homeowners since 1997 and now work from three Washington offices: Seattle, Bellingham and Stanwood. Find your county below.

Local roofing factors: Ilwaco’s coastal marine climate brings high rainfall and persistent moisture that promote moss/algae growth, while coastal winds and salt spray can accelerate corrosion and material wear. Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. — Ilwaco, WA: Outstanding Metal Shingles with a top-notch install crew and excellent product quality; communication between Angela and Igor could be improved, but overall a highly recommended choice for Ilwaco’s wet, moss-prone coastal conditions.

I have a cream and dark brown Tudor 2 story home and bought the slate profile in Tudor Brown. Many Tudor homes in my neighborhood also had tile concrete roofs that are 46 years old and near end of life. All have replaced with shingles, just doesn't look right and I think cheapens the look of the home. I payed way more than I planned but it was worth it. The roof is stunning! The crew here in Vancouver WA led by Tony with Caliss, Rueben and one other young man were the hardest working, most particular skilled craftsmen I could have hoped for. Very Happy!
